Liability Disclaimer:

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT HLWG Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement By signing this agreement and participating in any HLWG-sponsored activity or affiliated program, including volunteering or attending events at any location, I acknowledge that I have carefully read this entire agreement, understand its contents, and agree to the following:

1. Acknowledgment of Risk I understand that HLWG activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, permanent disability, illness, death, and exposure to contagious diseases such as COVID-19. Activities may also include the use of vehicles, golf carts, and motorized equipment, as well as the consumption of alcohol. I acknowledge these specific risks and accept that serious injury, death, or harm may occur as a result of my voluntary participation.

2. Release of Liability In consideration of being permitted to participate in HLWG activities, I voluntarily release, waive, discharge, and agree not to hold liable HLWG, its directors, officers, volunteers, and agents (hereafter referred to as "Releasees") for any injury, loss, or damage—whether personal or property-related—resulting from my participation in HLWG activities, regardless of cause, including negligence of the Releasees, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

3. Indemnification I agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the Releasees from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that may arise due to my participation in HLWG activities, whether caused by my actions, the actions of others, or the negligence of the Releasees, but excluding claims arising solely from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

4. Assumption of Responsibility By engaging in HLWG activities, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily assuming all risks associated with participation, including potential injury, death, or property damage, whether known or unknown.

5. Legal Acknowledgment This Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. This Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by South Carolina law. If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

HLWG Photo Policy

1. Purpose
The purpose of this Photo Policy is to establish guidelines for the capture, use, and distribution of photographs and video recordings taken at HLWG events, facilities, and activities to protect the privacy and rights of individuals.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all participants, attendees, staff, volunteers, and third-party photographers covering HLWG events and activities.

3. Consent and Notification

• HLWG reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings at its events and activities for promotional, educational, and archival purposes.

• By attending an HLWG event or activity, individuals consent to the capture and use of their image unless they opt out by notifying HLWG in writing before or during the event.

• Where minors are involved, explicit parental or guardian consent must be obtained before capturing or using their images.

4. Use and Distribution

• Photos and videos may be used in HLWG publications, social media, websites, press releases, and other promotional materials.

• Images will not be sold or used for commercial purposes outside of HLWG without explicit consent.

• HLWG will strive to ensure that images used in media represent individuals respectfully and appropriately.

5. Restrictions and Opt-Out

• Individuals who do not wish to have their image used may opt out by submitting a written request to HLWG prior to or during the event.

• Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate opt-out requests, but HLWG cannot guarantee the exclusion of an individual’s image from group photos or incidental background appearances.

6. Third-Party Photographers

• External photographers covering HLWG events must adhere to this policy and obtain necessary permissions when required.

• Any commercial photography or videography must receive prior written approval from HLWG.
