I'm new to Hampton Lake, how do I find out more about the HLWG?

The HLWG Welcome Committee contacts new residents and potential members throughout the year and will include membership information to new residents. New & Prospective Member Socials are held several times per year to acquaint women to HLWG. If you are new and would like to be contacted, click here. 

Who is eligible for membership and how do I join?

Membership is open to all women who are full or part-time owners of a home or lot in Hampton Lake, as well as "long-term"* renters who have transferred residential rights from the primary home owner.
*Long-term as defined by Hampton Lake Community policy.

What is the mission of the Hampton Lake Women's Group?

The primary purpose of this group is social. We provide opportunities to meet new people, enjoy activities and support each other as members of this community.

What is the cost of annual dues, and how do I pay them?

Annual dues are $30. The Membership year runs from January 1st- December 31st.  Renewal reminders are sent via email to current members in December. New members may join at any time. We don't prorate membership dues, however we do extend a waiver to new members who join in October, November or December; renewal would be January of the NEXT year.

When does the group meet?

The Hampton Lake Women's Group holds four General Meetings each year; usually in September, November, February and May and alternate between daytime and evening. While we are required to have a short business meeting, we do provide ample time to socialize. 
Our General Meetings may include an outside speaker, or we may provide an activity.

What other social activities do you sponsor?

HLWG sponsors several major social events each year and many casual meet-ups as well. Check the upcoming events page for more information.

What Interest Groups are available to me?

HLWG presently sponsors 16 different interest groups (IGs) that offer various areas and levels of participation to our members. You must be a member of HLWG to join any Interest Group. The IGs include games, literature, crafts, performing arts, gardening, dining out and cooking. A full list of IGs can be found here. Does the HLWG donate to local charities?

HLWG assists local charities by providing non-cash donations for various causes. We sponsor an annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Holiday Toy Drive, both of which are in support of Bluffton Self Help and are open to the entire Hampton Lake Community. Through these annual drives, Bluffton Self Help feeds hundreds of local families and brings joy to needy children. HLWG also supports various other local charities on a number of giving campaigns in the past and will continue to find meaningful ways for our members to give back to our Community.  Please visit our Charitable Giving Page.
