EVENT DETAILS:

HLWG Executive Board will report on our current financial health, membership renewals, upcoming nominations process and updates to the calendar. Following this short business meeting we’ll celebrate our own version of “Fat Tuesday” Mardi Gras!. Themed music, snacks, prizes and specialty cocktails will be available for purchase… lots of beads!

At the meeting, the Charitable Giving Committee will be collecting for Hopeful Horizons. Click HERE for list of requested donation items.

MARDI GRAS TRIVIA

Did you know the first Mardi Gras in America was celebrated in Mobile, Alabama in 1703?
Street processions were established in New Orleans in the late 1830s leading to the parades that we recognize today lead by various Krewes; the first all-female Krewe was established in 1917!
The significance of the Mardi Gras colors was assigned in 1892 by Rex, the King of Carnival. Purple, for justice, green for faith and gold for power.

Come alone or come as a Krewe! Wear beads or masks or Mardi Gras colors, it’s up to you! We’re celebrating you, our HLWG members!

Cost: Free

Member charge for cocktails at the bar

Registration is required to attend and limited to 150. Waitlist initiated after 150 registrants.
