Mark your calendars and join us for the third HLWG General Meeting of the year! This is an evening you won’t want to miss.
As always, we’ll breeze through the business portion of the meeting—keeping it short and sweet—because we know the real reason everyone loves to attend: the presentation.
This time, we’re thrilled to bring you an inspiring session titled:
Discover how to create fresh, stylish outfits without ever leaving your home. Our presenter will guide us through fun and practical tips on:
Whether you’re looking to save money, reduce clutter, or simply breathe new life into your wardrobe, this presentation will leave you feeling motivated and empowered!
We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca Mancini, a clothing buyer and owner of Maggie and Me, a boutique located in Old Town Bluffton. Despite the promise of a lucrative IT career in the 1980s, Rebecca followed her heart and pursued her first love: retail and the fashion industry. Her passion and expertise shine through in her ability to help people discover their style and make the most of their wardrobe.
We can’t wait to see you there! Bring a friend and get ready to "shop" your closet like never before.

General Meeting - November 19th
The HLWG General Meeting took place on Tuesday, November 19th, with a Thanksgiving-themed agenda to inspire and prepare members for the holiday season.
As members arrived, they were greeted by a beautifully crafted Thanksgiving tablescape created by Marie Camenares. Her design showcased creative and festive ideas for setting a holiday table, sparking inspiration for attendees to elevate their own celebrations.
John Sudol followed with an important and timely presentation on fire safety, emphasizing precautions to take during the holidays. From the risks of unattended candles to the dangers of deep-frying a turkey, John provided practical advice to ensure homes are safe and loved ones protected during this busy season.
The meeting concluded with a lively hack-a-thon led by Molly Breazeale. This interactive session encouraged members to brainstorm and share creative ways to make holiday entertaining less stressful, offering fresh ideas and solutions for a smoother and more enjoyable holiday experience.
The combination of inspiration, safety awareness, and problem-solving made this meeting a perfect kickoff to the holiday season!
Fire and Ice - December 5th
What a Night to Remember!
This year's holiday party was an absolute hit, held in the stunning Lakeview Room on December 5th. And guess what? Everyone was welcome — and everyone showed up looking MAHVALOUS! The bling was so bright, you practically needed sunglasses!
Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner by Chef Andy that left taste buds singing, while DJ Eclipze (yes, from the White Party!) kept the energy high and the dance floor packed. To top it all off, we had a photo booth — complete with fun accessories — to capture all the unforgettable moments.
Missed it? Don’t worry! Click here to see some of the fabulous photos!
Here’s to more magical moments together. See you next year!
Caroling at The Addison
A small but mighty crew of HLWG members brought their talents—and a whole lot of holiday cheer—to The Addison Senior Living Facility, treating the residents to a lively caroling performance. With a mix of classic tunes, feel-good melodies, and a few impressively high notes, the group turned an ordinary day into a festive celebration of music and connection.
The residents were appreciative, and the singers were equally enriched by the experience.
This visit to The Addison was more than just a holiday performance; it was a heartwarming reminder of how music, laughter, and a little bit of courage (seriously, those high notes) can bring people together. HLWG's spirit of compassion and creativity shines bright—and we hear there’s already talk of an encore next year!
